Full Mouth Reconstruction

Before and After Photo

After having her veneers done twice before, she presented to the office of Advanced Cosmetic and General Dentistry to have a true cosmetic dentist do her veneers for the third time. She had recently consulted with another dentist who told her that he would be happy to do her 10 veneers over again. After consulting with our office it was determined that only performing 10 veneers would result in failure, just as it has done twice before. Her true, required treatment was a full mouth reconstruction. After a complete examination and Joint Vibration Analysis, she admitted to suffering headaches and jaw pain for an extremely long period of time. Her Joint Vibration Analysis (JVA) revealed a partial disc displacement of her TMJ.

Even without a degree in dentistry, it is hard not to notice the broken or missing veneers and teeth that are highlighted with the red circles in the before picture. The cause of her two sets of veneers to break, as well as the breakdown of her other teeth and TMJ was her bad bite relationship. Without a thorough understanding of occlusion (bite relationships) and TMJ, her treatment would have surely failed for a third time.

A full mouth reconstruction was performed with all ceramic restorations rebuilding her bite relationship, restoring a brand new gorgeous smile, and getting rid of her jaw pain and headaches for good. Her bite was perfected with the T-scan equilibration process. This ensures correct occlusion time, disclusion time and force distribution to ensure that her muscles of her jaw will work in harmony with one another, and there will not be any teeth overloaded when she bites. She is extremely happy with her results and the fact that she chose our office to complete her smile makeover the correct way.
